Life



Queen Victoria was born in 24 May 1819 and she died in 22 January 1901.Her complete name was the Alexandrina Victoria. She was the daughter of Prince Edward who was the fourth son of the king George III. She became the queen after the death of William IV. In 20 June 1937 she became queen of United King Britain and Ireland. She started her ruling at the age of 19 years old. She ruled almost 64 years. In addition, she became Empress of India in 1 May 1876.

The East India Company was trading under the rule of Mongol empire. However the Mongols Empire became harmless at the end of sixteen centuries. On one side Britain was trading of silk and cotton in India and on the other side they had established their military headquarters. In 1857 the great India Muting took place. That was the last effort to get rid of Britain which was absolutely failed .After this failure the entire sub continent India was under the control of Britain. Even Queen Victoria was against the war. Furthermore the Britain prime minster Benjamin Disraeli introduced the Royal title bill in the House of Commons. However Liberal party had strongly criticized the title bill. They argued that “king” and “queen” are the historical name and the title “Empress” impacts violence and force. Finally she was awarded with the title “Empress of India” in 1 May 1876.
