Edward V was born in [[Westminster Abbey]] in November 1470 while his father was in exile in the Netherlands. He was the son of King [[Edward IV]] and [[Elizabeth Woodville]]. His younger brother was called Richard. Young Edward was made Prince of Wales in 1471 and stayed there for the whole time of his father's reign. After his father's death in April 1483 he became king for a very short time.
