	The title of [[James Joyce]]'s novel ''[[Ulysses]]'' (1922), a classic of Modernism set in 20th-century Dublin, alludes to Odysseus, who is called Ulixes in Latin. Several characters and incidents in the novel are deliberately modelled on Homer's epic poem.
