Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge (born 2 May 2015) is a British princess and a member of the Royal Family. Princess Charlotte was born on a Saturday at 8:34 am in London in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital. She was born weighing 3,7 kg.

Whereas the names Elizabeth and Diana have a clear linkage to Queen Elizabeth II, and Diana, the Princess of Wales, the name Charlotte has a connection to both sides of the parents: it is a middle name of Kate Middleton's sister Pippa and a name Prince William's cousin Charlotte Spencer. Besides, Charlotte is the female version of her paternal grandfather's name.  


She is the second child of Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge and she is the fourth in line to the throne. Later that year, on 5 July Princess Charlotte, was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury in Sandringham at the Church of St Mary Magdalene. In September 2016 Princess Charlotte had her first overseas tour to Canada, where she accompanied the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge and her older brother. Princess Charlotte's second official visit was in July 2017 to Germany and Poland, again accompanying her parents.
In January 2018, Princess Charlotte started attending Willcocks Nursery School in London. A year and a half later, in September 2019, she started school at Thomas’s Battersea, the same school attended by her older brother Prince George.
