Peter Mark Andrew Phillips was born on 15 November 1977 at St. Mary’s Hospital in London. He is the eldest child of Princess Anne and her first husband Mark Phillips. Moreover, Peter is the eldest grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II. He was educated at Shaftesbury in Dorset and then he went on to Gordonstoun School in Scotland where he became head boy. Like the other members of his family he is a keen sportsman and he played rugby for the Scottish Schools team. Later he studied Sports at Exeter University. He has a younger sister, Zara Phillips, and two half-sisters, Felicity Tonkin and Stephanie Phillips.

They married at St. Georges Chapel, Windsor, on 17 May 2008.  Autumn Kelly, who was a Roman Catholic, converted to the Church of England before her marriage; otherwise her husband would have had to give up his place in succession to the throne under the 1701 Act of Settlement. Now he is 11th in the line to the throne. Peter and Autumn live in a cottage on the Gatscombe estate in Gloucester.Autumn’s first pregnancy was announced. Their first child is expected to be born in December 2010.
